Parent Online Workshops

I’ve never participated in an online workshop. How does it work?

After booking, you will be sent an email containing a link for our online meeting room. Please follow the instructions to enter the meeting room. You can join the meeting room from any device that has a camera, microphone and speaker such as a smart phone, tablet/iPad or PC/laptop/Mac.

Aren’t all kids different? How can I be sure that the online parent workshop will be valuable for me and my child?

Our workshops are designed to answer the most common challenges that parents face with feeding their children. We have been delivering and improving our parent workshops for many years based on parent feedback, so we’re pretty sure we’ve got the balance right. However, if you have ongoing challenges or lots of unanswered questions we encourage you to book a private appointment with one of our dietitians for more individual support.

I have specific questions about our family feeding challenges. Will I get them answered in the online workshop?

Our facilitators aim to answer as many questions as possible during our workshops. Unfortunately, sometimes we can’t get to them all. If your question does not get answered, we encourage you to contact us via email with your question.

Is the online workshop suitable for my child to listen to, or is it just for parents?

Our online workshops are suitable for parents, caregivers and educators of children. These workshops are not designed for children to attend. Parents and care-givers guide children to develop eating competence. Positive change to mealtimes and children’s eating starts with parents and care-givers. This time is for you.

What if I miss the live online workshop? Do I still get access to a recording?

All our online workshops include access to a recording of the workshop for 1 month after the workshop date.

What if I have problems linking into the online workshop?

We try to support participants who are having difficulty linking in wherever possible, however sometimes technology is unpredictable. If you have problems linking in, you will still get access to the recording.

Do you have an online space where I can connect with other parents about similar feeding challenges?

Please join us on the Kids Dig Food Facebook page or on Instagram where we support a nurturing, supportive and positive community of parents and caregivers.

Are parent online workshops claimable on private health insurance?

Our workshop fees may be claimable on your private health insurance. Please contact your insurer directly to check.
