Accredited Practising Dietitian
Lyndal Sherriff is an Accredited Practising Dietitian and member of Dietitians Australia.
Lyndal creates supportive environments for her clients and families to openly share and move towards their nutrition goals and dreams. Lyndal is passionate about affirming and supportive care for children with different flavours of neurodivergence, such as Autism, ADHD and sensory processing disorder.
Lyndal developed a strong passion for paediatric and family dietetics from the start, first WOWing the Kids Dig Food team while completing her final placement Internship with us at the completion of her Bachelor of Nutrition & Dietetics degree at Griffith University in 2022. We knew she was destined for our team!
Some of the specialist professional development that Lyndal has completed include: the Queensland Children’s Hospital Paediatric Nutrition Training, Responsive Feeding Therapy training, and further study on the Division of Responsibility in Feeding by Ellyn Satter. Lyndal has also completed the Monash FODMAP Training Course for Dietitians.
Lyndal supports families in a kind and compassionate way that is practical, achievable, evidence-based and above all, feels good to her clients. Lyndal’s goal is to encourage positive and sustainable relationships with food for long-term health, wellbeing and quality of life.
Lyndal’s interests include supporting children of all ages and expressions, who face nutrition challenges including growth and weight concerns, feeding differences (fussy and picky eating), and gastrointestinal concerns.
Lyndal’s care includes a weight and body neutral approach, believing that it is far more valuable (and interesting) to grow into the person you are, rather than working towards a certain weight, shape or size.
When Lyndal is not working with her clients, she enjoys outdoor adventures with her family, including bushwalking, camping, fishing and exploring local farmer’s markets.
