Accredited Practising Dietitian
Inés is an experienced Accredited Practising Dietitian & Nutritionist with further training in paediatric nutrition, completing Paediatric Nutrition and Dietetics (Unit 1) with the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne in 2013. She is committed to continuing professional development and learning.
Inés takes a family-based approach, working in unison with parents/caregivers to untangle and understand the complexities of the feeding concern, to come up with the best approach for each unique child and family. She considers the whole-child and responsively applies a range of knowledge and tools gathered over the years, including the Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) Approach to Feeding, the work of Ellyn Satter, and Responsive Feeding Therapy approach.
Inés is a neurodiversity affirming practitioner with has a special interest in developmental conditions which may present feeding differences or challenges, such as Autism, ADHD and sensory processing differences.
Inés not only spends lots of her time on childhood nutrition and working out how best to feed children, she is also a mum of 3 boys and so she gets it too! In her leisure time, one of Ines’ favourite things to do is go on bicycle rides and dragon boat racing.
